School Counseling and College Matriculation

The School Counseling program is rooted in the mission and vision of Clearwater Central Catholic High School – committed to educating the whole person with “minds for truth, hearts for love, and hands for service”. Our school counselors work closely with students to help them meet the academic and personal challenges of high school, identify their own strengths and weaknesses, and make sound decisions about their futures. Students work with the same school counselor throughout their four years at CCC. Counselors meet with them individually and in group guidance sessions tailored for each grade level.

Our school counselors help develop the student’s individuality and provide services that improve personal, social, spiritual, and educational skills. Students will grow in self-knowledge, self-acceptance, self-management, problem-solving, decision-making, proper communication, college course planning, and interpersonal skills.

School Counseling Goals

Upon the completion of his or her course of studies, the Clearwater Central Catholic High School graduate will be able to:

  • Assess God’s gift within each person
  • Achieve maximum academic success
  • Explore occupations and careers that complement our giftedness
  • Identify college majors associated with various career options
  • Research colleges that offer those majors
  • Obtain admission to desired colleges
