Students Valuing Service During Summer Vacation

As is the case every summer vacation, many CCC students donate their time, talent and treasure to help those in need both here at home and around the globe.  Here are just a handful of those service experiences.




Summer Group trip







Junior Sophia Roldan and her brother, CCC alumnus Kevin Roldan ’14, travelled to the rural island of Marinduque in the Philippines where they volunteered with the Rotary Club of Timog-QC on a medical mission. Following that, Sophia and Kevin organized and arranged a feeding and gift program donating raincoats, food and vitamins at a rural public school of Taliptip Bulacan.



DrisSenior Kaylee Dris, founder of the local Gotta Have Sole chapter, and classmates Michelle Dudenhoefer, Collin Thomas, and Larisa Cladakis made their second delivery of shoes (50 pair) to the RCS Grace House in Clearwater. Gotta Have Sole Foundation, Inc.’s mission is to provide children living in shelters across the United States with brand-new footwear to call their own.



The 2016 Marauder football team joined alumnus Colin McCarthy ‘06 for the Payit4ward4Phil memorial bike ride benefitting cancer research in memory of Phil Doganiero, father of Blake ‘04.


SNDAmanda Cropsey ‘17, Clare Gaffney ‘19, Lauren Franks ‘18, Riley Hoaglin ‘17, Matthew Schmeiser ‘18 and Jackson Moore ‘ 17 traveled to Cleveland, Ohio with CCC campus ministry director Andy Shannon for the annual Sisters of Notre Dame summer service experience helping those in need in underserved areas in the Cleveland, Ohio area.




Feeding BabyJunior Bethany Pichardo travelled to La Victoria, Dominican Republic to volunteer at the Sisters of Schoenstatt Nutrition Center.
