CLEARWATER, Fla – Clearwater Central Catholic High School (CCC) and class of 1988 alumna Katherine Jones of Katherine Jones Insurance Agency, Inc. in Clearwater, Florida, have partnered to recognize outstanding CCC students with the State Farm Student of the Month awards. Students chosen for this recognition demonstrate exemplary leadership, dedication, and hard work in the classroom, in extra-curricular activities, and in the community. CCC and State Farm congratulate August award recipients Mary Reimann, State Farm Student of the Month, and Dylan Nolan, State Farm Student-Athlete of the Month.
Senior class president Mary Reimann is an AP Scholar and International Baccalaureate program (IB) student with a 4.6 GPA. She received National Merit Commendation and is a member of the English, Spanish, social studies, science, and math honor societies. Mary is involved in Morning Star Amigos, Ethics Bowl, Model UN, and is a student ambassador, peer tutor, and four-year varsity player on the girls basketball team. She is a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, frequently attends early morning mass at CCC, and inspires others to do the same.
Junior Dylan Nolan came to CCC from Hillsborough Academy of Math and Science. He has maintained a 4.0 GPA as an International Baccalaureate program (IB) student and is a talented member of the CCC cross country and track teams. Dylan won both the Lemon Bay Invitational and the Kissimmee Osceola Invitational, where he achieved his season-best time of 16:32.79 in the 5k. He finished second place at the Mitchell Invitational and 8th place at the Seffner Christian Invitational. After high school graduation, Dylan would like to pursue a degree in engineering and a career as a marine.
CCC and State Farm also congratulate September award recipients Fatima Celis Galindo, State Farm Student of the Month, and Marissa Weber, State Farm Student-Athlete of the Month.
Junior Fatima Celis Galindo is an International Baccalaureate program (IB) student with a 4.48 GPA. In middle school, she received the Principal’s Honor Roll and has continued to earn honor roll throughout high school. Fatima came to CCC as the valedictorian of the Espiritu Santo Catholic School class of 2019 and is a parish member of Espiritu Santo Catholic Church. She is a tennis player, student council member, peer minister, student ambassador, and secretary of Morning Star Amigos. Faculty and staff commend her maturity and heart for service. Fatima is interested in studying biomedical or biochemical engineering at the University of Florida.
Sophomore Marissa Weber is exclusively enrolled in honors classes, including one AP level course, and finished her freshman year with a 4.2 GPA. She is a member of St. Ignatius of Antioch Parish, a student ambassador, and a homeroom representative. Marissa is a leader amongst her peers on the cross country, track, and varsity soccer teams. Last track season, she ranked 11th in the state and third in the region in the 800 meters division and helped her 4×800 relay team reach the state championships. Last cross country season, she received the Most Valuable Player award. This year, Marissa has won the Kissimmee Osceola Invitational with a season-best time of 20:47.55 in the 5K. She placed second in the Mitchell Invitational and 6th in the Lemon Bay Invitational.
