Stadium renamed for Alumnus James Brian Thomas ‘81

Fans attending this week’s home football game will notice that a new scoreboard has been installed and the stadium has been renamed in memory of CCC class of 1981 alumnus James (Jimmy) Brian Thomas who was tragically killed by a drunk driver the summer following graduation. An early gift to our Ignite Tomorrow, Today capital campaign afforded CCC the opportunity to both honor his memory while also energizing the physical transformation of our campus. In addition to the new and larger scoreboard, we will also be enhancing and upgrading the entrance to our stadium, installing a new and larger flagpole, and incorporating a memorial monument. All of this work is being done to coincide with the completion of the new Field House.
