Department Goals
The student will be able to:
- Function in a Spanish speaking culture
- Use the language for a lifetime of personal enjoyment and enrichment
- Appreciate the role of Hispanic culture in a global context
- Begin the expansion of speaking ability for further education and / or the workplace

Department Highlights
- Because World Language faculty members have traveled and studied abroad, they are able to demonstrate to students the importance of global awareness
- World language classes are available at introductory and advanced levels
- The Spanish Honor Society provides incentive for language study and recognition at the national level
- World Language teachers are committed to professional development and excellence
- Students regularly score well on national language tests
- Students have excelled at state language competitions
