      Parent Involvement Policy   2010 – 2011

  • It is expected that two-parent families commit to 30 Service hours of service each school year.  Two-parent families are defined as households with two parents or with a parent and step-parent.  Single-parent families are expected to commit to 15 service hours.
  • Parents may earn all 30 service hours for two-parent families and 15 service hours for single-parent families from sports activities.  Service hours will no longer be granted for the purchase of game meals or water; however a maximum of two hours may be earned at each team meal for hosting, serving and clean-up.  Actual hours served may still be earned for working the Concession Stand, Painting the Field and Parking.
  • The fee in lieu of service hours for all families is $1,000, payable by October 1, 2010.
  • Each unfulfilled service hour will be billed at the rate of $40.00 per hour.
  • All service hour opportunities must be pre-approved by the Parent Involvement Coordinator, Mrs. Amy Druda.  No other parent, teacher, coach or staff member may offer service hour opportunities without receiving official approval.
  • Your time and commitment are very important to CCC and critical to the success of each project.  Cancelations and “no-shows” create a serious problem for both the other parents and the event chairperson.  It is each family’s responsibility to:
  • Carefully schedule your service hours by completing the Parent Involvement Program service hour Assignment Registration Form.
  • After completion of each assignment, please submit your official Time Sheet Form  to Mrs. Amy Druda, indicating that you have fulfilled your service hour requirement.
  • If unforeseen circumstances prevent a parent(s) from fulfilling his/her commitment, it is his/her responsibility to either find a replacement or be billed $40.00 per hour.  Cancelations without finding a replacement and “no-shows” will be billed at the $40.00 per hour rate for all committed hours even though the parent may have already fulfilled their 30 or 15 hour requirement.
