Faculty and Student Technology Groups Enjoy Digital Music Demo
Last Thursday after school members of the CCC Tech Club and the Faculty Technology Consortium met in the library to watch a presentation by Chris OMara about making techno music. Chris demonstrated a program he uses called Fruity Loops and played two of his compositions, “Never Forget” and “Road Home”. He explained how he can combine audio samples and apply patterns to them to create a variety of effects. He shares many of his pieces online so that people can download them and use them as background music for video projects. Teachers were impressed with the professional quality of the music. “This is way better than the stuff you hear on the radio,” said science teacher Bill Gasper.
PURPOSE
The purpose of the Technology Club is to promote interest in activities relating to Computer Science and Engineering. The club shall create an environment in which students can meet to discuss changes in the computer industry, current research projects, lectures on different computer applications, and tutorials on common software that are currently available. |

To provide a forum where members can share their skills, talents, and interests. |
If you would like to become a member, you can either contact our President or simply come to a meeting.
No knowledge of computers is necessary to join.
Meetings are held after school at CCCHS Library once a month. Additional meetings will be held as necessary to prepare for club projects and activities.
The Technology Club is a club where students who share interests in computers and related topics can get together.
Technology club meetings are an opportunity to share your knowledge of computers with other members and in return learn something new.
