Academic Team (A-Team)

The CCC Academic Team (A-Team) is a group of talented and energetic students who enjoy participating in Academic competitions. Top students on the Junior and Senior levels are invited to join the A-Team and participate in a number of on-line and in-person competitions throughout the school year. Members of the team are expected to take part in a majority of the on-line competitions, where we compete against other high school students from around the country
on a weekly basis.
In addition, a select group of A-Team members travel to St.Leo University to take part in an annual competition which draws competitors from public and private high schools from around the state of Florida. CCC won this statewide championship in 2003. This year's competition will take place on Friday, February 19, 2010.
The A-Team also sponsors the annual CCC Middle School Academic Competition held in the spring each year. Partner schools send teams of 7th and 8th grade students to participate in a day-long academic competition at CCC. The A-Team organizes and hosts this event and all A-Team members take part in preparing for and hosting this exciting day. This year we will host our 8th annual tournament on March 16, 2010.
