What is Suncoast Hospice?
A specialized, holistic, team approach to care for people who have chronic illnesses, are nearing the end of life, or are grieving the loss of loved ones.
Suncoast Hospice cares for thousands of patients and their families throughout Pinellas County each day. Most patients are cared for in their homes, but Suncoast Hospice also cares for patients in nursing homes, hospitals, assisted living facilities, and Hospice Houses.

What Volunteer Opportunities are offered by Hospice Teen Council and Suncoast Hospice?
Anyone can join Hospice Teen Council. Meetings are held once a month, and a typical meeting either has a guest speaker or a craft project (crafts become gifts for Hospice patients). Upcoming volunteer opportunities are always announced at meetings. Hospice Special Events (Clearwater Beach Stroll, Gift Wrapping at the Mall, Holiday Caroling) are open to everyone.
Suncoast Hospice also offers training that will open up more volunteer opportunities. With training you might:
* Brighten the day of patients with Cheer Team visits
* Sort neat retro items at one of Hospice’s Resale Shoppes
* Share your organizational and computer skills in one of Hospice’s offices
* Help patients record their life stories through the Lifetime Legacies Program
* Throw a birthday, anniversary, anytime party for Hospice patients
