One CCC family just experienced a very exciting month, boasting two athletic championship feats within a few days of each other!

On Saturday, Feb. 26 and Sunday, Feb. 27, distance runner junior Dylan Nolan broke the tape (i.e. came in first) in back-to-back Gasparilla Distance Classic road races: the 5K and the 8K. Dylan bested a crowd of over 2,400 runners for the 8K and for the 5K was the number one runner among 3,799 participants, beating second place by nearly an entire minute!

Later that week, Dylan’s younger brother, freshman wrestler Gavin Nolan competed in the Class 1A Wrestling Florida state championship tournament, representing CCC alongside three of his teammates. Then on Saturday, Mar. 5 – just one week after his brother’s first road race win – Gavin went undefeated in the tournament to claim the State Title for the 114-pound weight class.

These Marauders truly inspire excellence among their competitors and peers as they have practiced, prepared for, and conquered these admirable athletic feats. Congratulations to the Nolan family for making Marauder nation exceedingly proud!
