Dear CCC community,

On July 16th, we introduced our Blended Learning model for the 2020-2021 school year. (Communication 2)  In addition, we sent and requested the completion of a DOSP waiver and initial intent to return form.  This communication piece was sent in the mail as well as delivered electronically to all families.  The two forms requested for submission are asked to be completed by July 27, 2020.  As previously mentioned in our communication piece, we are working with a “living document” that is subject to continuous change.  Under our general guidelines, it stated that our educational program may experience a temporary move in consultation and direction with the Office of Catholic Schools of the Diocese of St. Petersburg and public health authorities.

Today, we have been notified by the attached letter from our Bishop, Most Reverend Gregory Parkes, that all parish and Diocesan K-12 Catholic schools in the Diocese of St. Petersburg are postponing the first full day of school from August 10th to August 24th.  As mentioned in the Bishop’s letter, we will be adjusting the change in our academic year as well as making the necessary adjustments in our general school calendar. The change in opening date is aligned to our goal of providing On Campus (face to face) learning.  We will be working diligently to provide the changes in the general school calendar as well as comprehensive “Re-Opening Plan” in the coming weeks.

You can find all communications related to COVID-19 on a dedicated space on our CCCHS website.  Please continue to respond with questions and feedback by emailing us at and we will respond to you individually or as a group in our next communication based on the content. We appreciate your continued support and patience during this necessary time and join the Bishop in urging us all to remain strong in the faith and stay close to Christ in prayer.

In God’s provident care,

Dr. John A. Venturella, President
Mr. James W. Deputy, Principal
Mr. Enrique Garza, Assistant Principal

In peace,

James W. Deputy
