Mission Statement
The Clearwater Central Catholic High School Distinguished Alumni Award exists to ensure that the history and tradition of the school, as well as the contributions of individuals, is celebrated. Its purpose is to honor, pay tribute to and perpetuate the memory of those individuals who have made outstanding contributions pertaining to the school’s four core values:
Living Faith, Embodying Respect, Valuing Service and Inspiring Excellence.

SELECTION COMMITTEE
The CCC Distinguished Alumni Award Selection Committee will consist of the following members. The president of Clearwater Central Catholic High School will appoint all committee members. The Alumni Relations Coordinator will act as the Selection Committee Chairperson.
- Director of Advancement OR Assoc. Director of Advancement
- Assistant Director of Alumni Relations
- Principal OR Assistant Principal
- School Advisory Council Representative
- Alumni Representative
- Alumni Representative
- Community at-large Representative *Preferably former administrator, faculty, or staff
CRITERIA AND SELECTION PROCEDURES
There are four categories in which a person may be nominated for the Distinguished Alumni Award:
Living Faith
Nominees will have exhibited a commitment to their Catholic Faith through one of more of the following:
- Religious Life
- Professional work
- Support of and service to the Catholic Church and/or to Catholic education
- Through community initiatives
Embodying Respect
Nominees will have exhibited a commitment to Clearwater Central Catholic High School through one or more of the following:
- Philanthropic support of CCC
- Professional career at CCC
- Volunteer service to CCC
Valuing Service
Nominees will have exhibited a commitment to Service through one or more of the following:
- Philanthropic support of charitable organizations
- Professional career at a charitable organization
- Volunteer service at a charitable organization
Inspiring Excellence
Nominees will have exhibited a commitment to Inspiring Excellence through one or more of the following:
- Participation in the CCC Alumni-Student Mentorship Program
- Professional career or community achievements
- Personal achievements
Nominees must have graduated from Clearwater Central Catholic High School.
There shall be a maximum of one (1) inductee per year from each category.
Alumni who meet the induction criteria automatically become eligible for nomination for the Distinguished Alumni Award induction ten (10) years after graduation from Clearwater Central Catholic High School.
All nominees for induction should have exhibited in their daily life the character and commitment to the Mission and Vision of Clearwater Central Catholic High School.
Nominees for the Distinguished Alumni Award shall remain on the primary consideration list for five years. After the fifth year, if nominee has not been selected for the award, he or she will be placed on a secondary list. Nominees can be reinstated to the primary list upon request from a committee member.
Selection for the Distinguished Alumni Award is by 75% of the vote of the committee members.
The Selection Committee reserves the right to reorganize or change the criteria and selection procedures at any time.
